Effect of gonadotrophin therapy on testicular volume and sexual development in adolescent boys with hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism.

چکیده
These patients may not have shown excessive growth during early childhood as observed by Aceto et al. (1966). After therapy was stopped, 2 cases showed the expected adrenal overactivity (high urinary 17KS). Treatment must, therefore, be continued. The present management for all types of congenital adrenal hyperplasia was recently reviewed (Raiti and Newns, 1970). The criteria for diagnosis have not altered (Raiti and Newns, 1964).

ICSI using testicular sperm in male hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism unresponsive to gonadotrophin therapy.
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to assess the use of testicular sperm for ICSI in azoospermic men with hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism unresponsive to gonadotrophin therapy. METHODS Fifteen patients with hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism who remained azoospermic after hormonal treatment underwent testicular sperm extraction (TESE) and ICSI. These men were recruited from the Egyptian IVF cent...
متن کاملX-linked syndrome of pubertal failure
Five boys with familial cytomegalic adrenocortical hypoplasia have been followed up for an average of 19 years. Despite treatment with replacement corticosteroids, all 5 failed to show a spontaneous onset of puberty and, when assessed at ages 13 to 19 years, all had both sexual infantilism and skeletal immaturity. Hypogonadism was confirmed by low levels of plasma testosterone, and pituitary re...
متن کاملInduction of spermatogenesis in isolated hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism with gonadotrophins and early intervention with intracytoplasmic sperm injection.
Idiopathic hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism (IHH) is a potentially correctable cause of male infertility. However hormonal treatment is usually a slow process and artificial reproductive techniques such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) might be resorted to before full testicular response has been achieved. We report here an unusual variant of IHH of post-pubertal onset in which early in...
متن کاملGonadotrophin replacement for induction of fertility in hypogonadal men.
Congenital hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism (CHH) is a rare form of infertility caused by deficient secretion or action of gonadotrophin-releasing hormone. There is no consensus regarding the optimal approach to fertility treatment in CHH men. In most cases, appropriate hormonal treatment with human chorionic gonadotrophin with or without follicle stimulating hormone will induce testicular develo...
متن کاملHypersensitivity reaction with intravenous GnRH after pulsatile subcutaneous GnRH treatment in male hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism.
Chronic pulsatile subcutaneous administration of low doses of gonadotrophin releasing hormone (GnRH) is an effective therapy for men with hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism. Hypersensitivity reactions to GnRH are rare. We wish to report hypersensitivity reactions with intravenous GnRH after low dose subcutaneous pulsatile GnRH treatment in two men with hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism due to suprasel...
